日本会津大学程子学教授应邀来实验室讲学

2013年9月15日（星期日）上午九点，应湖南科技大学刘建勋教授邀请，日本会津大学程子学教授来实验室交流讲学。此次学术报告在逸夫楼641会议室举行，主要讨论了透明计算、云计算以及物联网的应用等热点问题。中南大学王国军教授、实验室全体老师以及研究生、本科生参加了报告会。
会上，程子学教授首先介绍了近年来兴起的一种全新计算模式——透明计算。透明计算是一种用户无需感知计算机操作系统、中间件、应用程序和通信网络的具体所在，只需根据自己的需求，通过网络从所使用的各种终端设备中选择并使用相应服务的计算模式。透明计算的特点是通过网络把计算与存储进行逻辑或物理分离，将应用与硬件分离，以用户为中心，可以在任何终端通过登录自己的账号访问远端服务器上自己的数据。和云计算相比，透明计算在安全性上略胜一筹。接下来，程教授讲述了透明计算的系统结构和应用。最后，详细叙述了透明计算与云计算的区别并介绍了他的研究团队在透明计算和物联网领域的研究成果。报告会结束后，实验室师生与程教授展开了深入的讨论，特别是针对物联网领域的应用等问题。

Dr. Zixue Cheng got his Master and Doctor Degrees in Engineering from the Tohoku University, Japan, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He joined the University of Aizu in April 1993 as an assistant professor, became associate professor in 1999, and has been a full professor since 2002. His research interests are design and implementation of protocols, distributed algorithms, distance education, ubiquitous computing, ubiquitous learning, embedded systems, functional safety, Internet of Things (IoT), and wearable transparent computing. He served as the director of University-business innovation center during April 2006- March 2010, and has been the head of the Division of Computer Engineering, University of Aizu, since April 2010.
